Available exclusively at American Musical Supply and Zzounds! The new 1000 Series marks the first time that the highly acclaimed Fishman Fluence Multi-Voice pickups have been incorporated into a new ESP LTD offering.
Fishman supports acoustic stringed-instrument builders, players, collectors and aficionados as a sponsor of the 7th Annual Woodstock Invitational Luthiers Showcase, a gathering of the finest handmade acoustic guitars and stringed musical instruments from around the world on October 23-25 in Woodstock, NY.
“I never expected any of these legends to say yes, but I figured it was worth a shot,” says Pat McGee about his star-studded new self-titled album. “If nothing else, I wanted them to know that I felt they would have been the perfect band for these songs. I have never been a guy that asked for favors or perks in this business, but on this project I definitely swung for the fences and thought to myself, ‘Why not? The worst they can say is ‘no’.”
In response to demand from players, the Fishman Fluence line of Multi-Voice pickups continues to expand. Players who appreciate the unique combination of dead-silent operation and Multi-Voice tones have eagerly adopted the Fishman Fluence Modern Humbucker.
In this one-on-one with the eclectic guitarist and musician Keller Williams, we asked him about his experience with Fishman and the gear he has been using—Matrix Infinity and TriplePlay. He talks about his current musical projects, the benefit of having a wireless MIDI pickup in his rig, and the crowd’s reaction to hearing the TriplePlay live.
Guitarist, composer and author Jennifer Batten is embarking on a 26-city clinic tour that will feature a full demonstration of the Fishman TriplePlay Wireless MIDI Controller.
Premier Guitar’s Shawn Hammond reviewed the Fishman Fluence Classic Humbuckers, along with awarding Fishman the Premier Gear Award. Hammond began his review with this question, “so why did revered acoustic pickup and amplification guru Larry Fishman venture into this world filled with, as he put it last year, ‘too much voodoo’?”
Guitar Player’s Art Thompson tested the Fishman Fluence Classic Humbucker Pickup Set in the latest July 2015 issue. The Fluence Classic Humbucker pickups were tested on a new Gibson Les Paul Traditional and compared to a ’59 Historic Les Paul reissue. Thompson’s initial reaction was “not surprisingly, the two guitars sound somewhat different when plugged directly into our reference amps—a Mesa/Boogie Mark Five: 25 and a Fender ’65 Deluxe Reverb reissue.”
Guitar World’s Chris Gill reviewed the Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers in the June 2015 issue. Gill tested the Modern Alnico and Ceramic Humbucker pickup set in a drop tuning and modern metal setting. He first describes the technology of the pickups. “While all previous pickup designs use wound copper wire coils, Fishman Fluence pickups feature the truly revolutionary Fluence Core"
Since the 2014 launch of Fluence Multi-Voice pickups for electric guitar, artists have been quick to embrace the tone and features of this newest technology from Fishman.
