Michael Bean

Having parents who were both music teachers exposed him to a wide variety of music. Right after high school, Michael toured the US as a bassist & tenor banjo player with the Great Rubber Band, a humorous, multi-faceted show band. Michael has recorded with Northern Lights guitarist Bill Henry on his “Red Sky” cd, playing bass behind the fiddle of Tim O’Brien. The disc also features Vassar Clements, Sam Bush, Taylor & Jake Armerding. In his louder music days, Michael played and recorded rock, funk, jazz, and blues with a variety of well-known local, national, and international players.
