An accomplished and versatile producer, composer, and musician, Terry has commanded such diverse projects touring, recording and performing as music director and/or guitarist for dozens of renowned artists including Keb’ Mo’, Billy Preston, The 5th Dimension, Wilson Phillips, Al Jarreau, Joan Baez, Joe Walsh, Gerald Albright and Eartha Kitt, to name just a few.
Originally from Miami, Terry was formally educated in Boston, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arranging from the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Soon after arriving in Los Angeles, Terry built a solid reputation as an in-demand session guitarist and producer contributing to all styles of music from jazz to pop, rock, blues, R&B and beyond.
A notable highlight of Terry’s illustrious career is a Grammy nomination for his first solo recording, “Bimini”, a contemporary jazz collection that also received worldwide critical acclaim. His second solo album, “Say Yes”, was extremely well-received inlarge part due to his eclectic musical choices and a notable array of guest artists such as Joe Sample, Abe Laboriel, Luis Conte and Michael McDonald interpreting Terry’s sonic vision.
Terry’s TV engagements include stints for “The Byron Allen Show”, FOX TV’s “Late Show”, “The Arsenio Hall Show”, “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, “Married With Children” and “Scrubs”.
Among his acting credits are appearances on “Desperate Housewives”, “The Larry Sanders Show”, and the upcoming, highly anticipated ABC series, “Caveman”, based on the popular Geico commercials. As a diverse and highly respected musician, Terry’s artistry continues to evolve and inspire with integrity and a uniquely creative perspective on the music industry.
