Capitol Records Nashville’s platinum-selling country star Darius Rucker passed through New England and Fishman's Artist Relations caught up with the tour to deliver a few Matrix Infinity pickups for Darius' Gibson J-45 acoustics. Fishman caught up with guitar tech Doug Breidenbach after sound check and took a peek at the many acoustics used in the show, including a Martin signature series Jimmy Buffett HD-18JB equipped with a Matrix Infinity.
30 Rock turned country for a while when Kenny Chesney performed two numbers before a live NYC crowd in Rockefeller Center. After performing "Somewhere With You," Kenny was joined on stage by Grace Potter. The two performed "You and Tequila," the newly released (and fourth top 20) single from Chesney's latest CD, Hemingway's Whiskey (2010, RCA Country).
Ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro has earned comparisons to the likes of Jimi Hendrix and Miles Davis, and has been heralded for entirely redefining the instrument by his early thirties. Jake has been a Fishman artist since exploding on the scene in 2005.
